If you are going to be spending a little bit more time in the campsite I would recommend the other campground in the park, as it is closer to the river and also more secluded.
Nice campground, right off the trailhead for shingle mill pathway and high country pathway. They have one outhouse, a pump. The sites are drive in and no electric outlets. They have fire rings but you have to either scavenge from the woods or drive a bit to get them. there is no firewood sales near.
